CHAMBER @ RAVENSCROFT: IMMERSION
Experience chamber music like never before! This season’s Chamber @ Ravenscroft series opens with a groundbreaking concert where great classical selections meet mesmerizing, immersive visuals. Join us in Ravenscroft Hall on Saturday, November 16th, at 7:00 pm, for Immersion, featuring visuals by new media artist Xuan, paired with music by Bach, Strauss, Schumann, and more.
The innovative program will feature four leading chamber musicians, partnered together in various ways, offering different instrumentations and fresh soundscapes throughout. Accompanying the remarkable music from the stage will be fully-immersive visual media, crafted specifically for this concert, projected all around Ravenscroft Hall.

About the artists
Violinist Rolf Haas has performed around the world in various musical settings, including appearances in England, Germany, Poland, Spain, and the United States, where he has been featured as a soloist with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. Nancy Buck is Co-Artistic Director of the Chamber @ Ravenscroft series and serves on Arizona State University’s School of Music, Dance, and Theatre faculty as a Professor of Viola. Cellist Ryan Murphy has soloed with the Cleveland Orchestra and Detroit Symphony and has performed with the Canton Symphony, Juilliard Centennial Orchestra, National Philharmonic, and San Antonio Symphony. Widely recognized for her diverse abilities as a collaborative artist, pianist Miki Aoki has performed on the stages of Carnegie Hall in New York City, St. Martin-in-the Fields, the Royal Festival Hall, Laeizhalle Hamburg, Munetsugu Hall (Japan), and St. Petersburg Philharmonic Hall (Russia). A classically trained pianist and visionary ‘visual music’ artist, Xuan pushes boundaries with her innovative projects. From experimental animation to interactive installations, her work explores identity and power, earning her acclaim worldwide.
Lobby doors open at 6:00 pm and Ravenscroft Hall doors open at 6:30 pm. Choose from a fine selection of wine and craft beers in Jazzbird before the show. No food or drink is permitted inside Ravenscroft Hall. Please note that parking is free and abundant on-site at Ravenscroft.
