ABOUT THE ARTISTS
ZAZU West carries on the legacy of Django Reinhardt’s French swing tradition. Known for their high-energy performances and refined artistry, they blend virtuosity, improvisation, and soulful melodies that bring Parisian jazz to life in the Valley.

Mike Fowler (lead guitar) – A versatile guitarist with roots in both jazz and classical styles, Fowler has established himself as a leading voice in Arizona’s Gypsy Jazz community.

Ryan Vance (rhythm guitar) – Brings driving swing rhythms and a strong background in acoustic jazz guitar, anchoring the group’s signature sound.

Vincent Thiefain (bass) – An accomplished bassist and educator, Thiefain has performed widely across jazz, classical, and chamber settings, bringing technical depth and lyrical phrasing to the ensemble.

Constance Genter (vocals) – Known for her expressive phrasing and warm tone, Genter adds a rich vocal dimension to ZAZU West, interpreting standards with elegance and emotional resonance.

Allen Ames (violin, guest artist) – A master of improvisation and longtime figure in Arizona jazz, Ames weaves dazzling violin lines that pay homage to Stéphane Grappelli while carving out his own unique voice.
Jazz for the Soul, an outreach of Music Serving the Word Ministries, is pleased to contribute 100% of donations from this concert to PRISM (People’s Response in Supporting Music), providing new, gently used, and refurbished musical instruments to underprivileged students through Title 1 Schools and other musical programs for kids.Â
JAZZ FOR THE SOUL INFORMATION
All JFTS Concerts are FREE and open to the public. Doors open at 4:45pm and seating is first come, first served. All donations received during the event will benefit a featured local or international humanitarian causes.
