Friday, April 4th, at 7:00pm, Jazzbird welcomes Ken Wagner! Featured artists include Kenji Wagner– Bass, Nate Gilbreath– Trombone, Roman Goron– Piano, George Fulton– Saxophone, and Max Holmberg– Drums.
Join us for GCU Night as we kick off Jazz Appreciation Month with an incredible evening of live music, community, and celebration. GCU students are invited to experience the magic of live jazz for just $10, while enjoying Light Heart coffee, Chewk’s cookies, and more! All are welcome for this event, even if you are not a GCU student.
Seattle-based trumpeter and multi-instrumentalist Ken Wagner brings his uniquely progressive approach to music to Jazzbird Nights! Having performed alongside renowned artists like Sean Jones, Melissa Aldana, Wycliffe Gordon, Corcoran Holt, and Jimmy Greene, Wagner is quickly making a name for himself in the modern jazz scene.
For this special evening, Wagner will be joined by some of the Phoenix jazz scene’s finest: Nate Gilbreath on trombone, Roman Goron on piano, and Max Holmberg on drums. Together, this ensemble will present two sets of modern jazz music, blending innovation and tradition for an unforgettable night of sound and artistry.
