Friday, November 22nd, at 7:00pm, Jazzbird welcomes the NOLAZ Band! Featured artists include Ted Belledin– Keys/Saxophone/Vocals, Janet Daniel– Drums, Steve Himmelstein– Guitar/Vocals, Anthony Reed– Trombone, Simone Sanchez– Lead Vocals, Kevin Tangney– Trumpet, and Sam Smith– Bass.

​NOLAZ Band plays groove and soul music from New Orleans, LA (NOLA) in Arizona (AZ). From The Neville Brothers to Allen Toussaint, traditional brass bands to The Meters, and Lee Dorsey to PJ Morton, there is a particular musical character that stems from New Orleans. NOLAZ Band channels this energy to bring a little NOLA to Arizona.

A seven-piece ensemble, NOLAZ Band is led by Ted Belledin (keys, sax, vocals) with vocals, horns, and rhythm. Based in Phoenix, Arizona, NOLAZ Band offers upbeat performances with the option of adding a traditional brass band.

NOLAZ Band performs the music of Allen Toussaint, Jon Cleary, Galactic, Cyril Neville, The Meters, Trombone Shorty, Harry Connick Jr., Dr. John, Kermit Ruffins, Neville Brothers, Lee Dorsey, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, PJ Morton, John Boutté, Wild Magnolias, Anders Osborne, Irma Thomas, & more.

Experience an evening filled with wonderful jazz and choose from a fine selection of wine, craft beers, and catered dinner options for purchase. Check back here or visit our Facebook page the Thursday before this event for a more detailed dining menu. Doors open at 6:00 pm, and the show begins at 7:00 pm.
