Friday, October 28th, at 7:00pm, Jazzbird lounge welcomes Raúl Yáñez & Zona Libre to the stage for the first time in Ravenscroft. Zona Libre features Raúl Yáñez-Piano, Keys & Vocal, Xavier Yáñez-Bass & Vocals, Adam Clark-Drums, Tony Valenzuela-Congas.
Join us for a lively evening of Latin Jazz and Salsa, blended with Mambo, Descarga, Cha Cha, Cumbia, Bolero and Samba. Raúl Yáñez brings a rich musical background and experience to the stage. He currently teaches at ASU in their School of Music, Dance & Theatre. He has worked and recorded with other notable artists and groups such as Joey DeFrancesco and Jimmy Smith. He was the composer of the first Concerto for Turntable and has toured with Sister Sledge, El Chicano and Esteban.
Enjoy some great jazz and choose from a fine selection of wine, craft beers, and catered dinner options for purchase. Doors open at 6:00 pm; $10 cover charge at the door, reservations are not required.
