RAVENSCROFT JAZZ SERIES – Beth Lederman Holiday Concert
Put some sizzle in your holidays with Beth Lederman and Jazz Con Alma. A mainstay on keyboards on the Phoenix jazz scene for more than 30 years, Arizona native Lederman – her family ran Lederman Music Co., a chain of stores in the Valley, until the 1980s – has developed an eclectic, sophisticated sound that features influence from bossa-nova to swing to pop music, all played with heartfelt integrity. Beth will be joined by Steven Powell-Vocals, Allen Ames-Violin, Juli Wood-Vocals/Saxophone, Todd Chuba-Drums, and Felix Sainz-Bass.
She brings to every performance creativity, a sense of humor and a commitment to excellence. Lederman combined her love of Latin and Brazilian music with her classical roots and her creative exploration of jazz to form Jazz Con Alma, which translates to “jazz with soul” or “jazz with spirit.”
This certainly won’t be a silent night, but a wholly memorable night at Ravenscroft Hall with Beth Lederman and Jazz Con Alma. And Merry Christmas from all of us at Ravenscroft!
