Kicking off the Ravenscroft Concert Series for the 2024-25 season,

Orrin Evans, Eric Revis & Nasheet Waits and their powerhouse group Tarbaby are set to deliver an unforgettable performance. Pianist Orrin Evans, celebrated for his fearless and versatile approach to jazz, brings a rich history of musical innovation and accolades, including Grammy nominations and a Rising Star Pianist title from DownBeat Critics Poll. With bassist Eric Revis and drummer Nasheet Waits, Tarbaby embodies the dynamic spirit of modern jazz, blending structured freedom with intense improvisation. Don’t miss this thrilling evening of cutting-edge jazz as they ignite the stage at Ravenscroft!

TARBABY

Tarbaby absorbs everything from Thelonious Monk and Charles Mingus to John Coltrane and Ornette Coleman, sending it all back in torrents of molten musicianship. For two nights at the Casbah, get scorched by a group that “interacts beautifully” and “makes every second count” (Jazz Times).

For the Ravenscroft Concert Series, doors open at 6pm, followed by the performance beginning at 7:30pm. Choose from a fine selection of wine and craft beers before the show. Light refreshments will also be available for purchase at the bar. No food or drink will be permitted inside of Ravenscroft Hall.
