VJC Indigo Big Band: Winter Performance

Ravenscroft presents the Valley Jazz Cooperative’s Indigo Big Band, under the direction of Russell Schmidt. The Indigo Big Band will perform music by Neal  Hefti, Billy Strayhorn and Mary Lou Williams. Additionally, the program will being with a  few combo selections by VJC program participants, performing pieces by Jerome Kern and others. 

Lobby doors open at 6:00 p.m.; Ravenscroft Hall doors do not open until 6:45 p.m.  

The Valley Jazz Cooperative was founded in 2016 and is an educational outreach of MSW  Ministries. Instruction is focused on expanding the creativity of VJC members through  developing improvisation skills and learning the language of jazz. The program is offered  free of charge to eligible, committed, passionate music students (grades 8-12).

Cost for this event is $5.00 (general admission; no reserved seating)
