On Friday, September 16th, at 7:00 PM Jazzbird welcomes the Dan Delaney Quartet for their first performance at Ravenscroft. Joining Dan are his talented friends John Lewis-Drums and Chris Stewart-Alto Saxophone, Ted Sistrunk-Bass.
Originally from Boston, now residing in Cave Creek, AZ, Dan is a highly regarded pianist, entrepreneur, author, artist for Earthworks Professional Microphone Systems and dedicated and innovative teacher of the piano, jazz improvisation and harmony.
While in Boston, Dan studied with notable east coast jazz educators while remaining very active in the Boston jazz scene performing regularly and teaching. In the beginning of his career Dan was acknowledged by Keyboard Magazine, Videomaker Magazine and all Boston press as a pioneer in teaching, the 1st in the World to teach piano by personalized video correspondence in 1989. His entrepreneurial drive continued to bring him great success and many more interesting opportunities through the decades to follow.
