Featured artists include Emerson Laffey– Drums/Cajon, Kris Hill– Guitar, Adrian Goldenthal– Bass, Shea Marshall– Piano/Sax/Harmonica/Clarinet/Accordian/Flute, and Martin Gaxiola– Dancer.
Rosetta Verde met years ago in Jazz ensemble at ASU. They formed a funk/fusion band that they dubbed Green Rosetta. Later, members Kris Hill (guitar), Adrian Goldenthal (bass) and Emerson Laffey (percussion) each took their own path to finding flamenco. Notably, Kris Hill moved to Spain for several years to study flamenco guitar. Since then, the members of Rosetta Verde have all worked with many fantastic flamenco groups over the years. It was only natural that they reunite to put their own stamp on flamenco, reconstituting the band with its Spanish translation: ‘Rosetta Verde’. This new incarnation blends their varied musical experiences to create a modern flamenco sound. Don’t miss this one of a kind performance in Jazzbird!
