
Singer and pianist Andrew Walesch makes his debut at JAZZ for the SOUL featuring everyone’s favorite Great American Songbook tunes by Berlin, Kern, Gershwin, Porter and more! Andrew is joined by Clark Gibson (saxophone) and Chris Finet (bass).

Andrew Walesch is a Minnesota-born singer, pianist, and composer known for blending sophistication with down-home charm. From solo performances to big band shows, he brings a fresh take on traditional jazz. Walesch has performed at prestigious venues like the Detroit Jazz Festival and Lincoln Center and now serves as the artistic director of the MIM Music Theater in Phoenix.
Clark Gibson is a jazz saxophonist, composer, and Director of Education at The Nash in Phoenix. Rooted in jazz traditions with global influences, he’s performed with acts like the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra and The Four Tops. Gibson holds a doctorate from the University of Illinois and has released several acclaimed albums, including “Old Style Sextet.”
Chris Finet is a double bassist and faculty member at NAU’s School of Music, where he teaches jazz and improvisation. A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, he’s performed with renowned orchestras and jazz legends like Doc Severinsen and Roy Hargrove at venues including Carnegie Hall and Jazz at Lincoln Center.
All JFTS Concerts are FREE and open to the public. Doors open at 4:45pm. All donations received will benefit local and international humanitarian causes.
