Grammy-nominated jazz guitarist Corey Christiansen has played around the globe, and Lakeshore Music at Ravenscroft is very pleased to present him once again this season.

Christiansen is recognized among the preeminent jazz guitarists in the world. The Utah native's music draws on the tradition of the masters but leans toward the future, rooted in the tradition of jazz. He's bluesy and gritty but stops short of alienating larger audiences, proving that he has the ability to retain the artistic integrity of the music without pushing listeners away. More recently he has taken on an Afro-Cuban flair with a unique blend of jazz and rock smothered over Latin-based grooves.

His "MB3: Jazz Hits Vol. 1" spent three weeks as the No. 1 recording on North American jazz radio, marking a leap in his national and international visibility.

Internationally acclaimed jazz pianist Michael Kocour, director of jazz studies in the School of Music at Arizona State University and no stranger to Lakeshore audiences, joins the quartet for this performance.
