The 2022/23 Chamber @ Ravenscroft series concludes with Gala, a celebration of the inaugural season. The wide-ranging program will feature major chamber works by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and Robert Schumann, as well as a new work by American composer Susie Ibarra. Gala will also feature the premiere of a set of variations based on the Bob Ravenscroft jazz composition Joy.
About the artists…Violinst Jennifer Choi has performed worldwide in venues such as the Library of Congress in Washington D. C., the RAI National Radio in Rome, Hong Kong National Radio, and the Mozartsalle in Vienna since giving her debut recital at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Hall. Shannon Thomas is a Professor of Violin at Florida State University and has performed at the Kennedy Center, Spoleto Festival USA, Carnegie Hall Stern Auditorium, Bolivia’s Centro Sinfonico in La Paz, and the Banff Centre. Nancy Buck is Co-Artistic Director of the Chamber @ Ravenscroft series and serves on Arizona State University’s School of Music, Dance and Theatre faculty as a Professor of Viola. Felix Wang is Professor of Cello at Vanderbilt University and is a member of the Blair String Quartet. Pianist Cathal Breslin is also on the ASU music faculty and has appeared in concert halls throughout Europe, U.S.A. and Asia, including Carnegie Hall in New York, Wigmore Hall in London, and the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing.
