JAZZ FOR THE SOUL: Beth Lederman and Vicki McDermitt: Christmas!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Need a little Christmas spirit? Join us for a joy-filled good time at Jazz for the Soul featuring Phoenix favorites, Beth Lederman, piano, and vocalist Vicki McDermitt. 

These longtime friends will swing you into the Christmas season, performing your favorite holiday songs. Beth’s infectious Latin style (with Jazz con Alma) will blend rhythms of samba, salsa, swing, bossa nova, and cha-cha. Vicki’s fresh take on the holiday classics will “take you to church” and make you glad you came.   

Mix in some of Phoenix’s finest musicians — Felix Sainz – bass, Emmerson Laffey – drums, and Adam Clark – sax — shake well, and serve for a memorable evening that will get you excited for the holidays!  Expect a few surprises that are sure to add to the fun.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Beth Lederman is a staple of the jazz and Latin music scenes from Phoenix to Mexico and Canada. Known for her sophisticated touch and rhythmic flair, she brings the spirit of improvisation and warmth to every performance. Her recordings, including Sambras and Christmas, showcase the joyful sound you’ll experience live.

Vicki McDermitt has performed across the U.S. and Europe, with a career spanning jazz, gospel, and session work in Los Angeles. A versatile vocalist with a heart for community, she is also the creator of Jazz for the Soul with Music Serving the Word Ministries. Her passion for music shines through every performance, inspiring and uplifting audiences wherever she sings.

All JFTS Concerts are FREE and open to the public. Doors open at 4:45pm and seating is first come, first served. All donations received during the event will benefit a featured local or international humanitarian causes.
