With a style that evokes the spirit of a jazz club, a church revival, a honky-tonk, and the Mississippi Delta all in one night, this is roots music at its finest. JFTS is thrilled to bring The Sugar Thieves to our stage for the first time—get ready for a roaring good time!

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

The Sugar Thieves — Based in Phoenix and performing together since 2006, The Sugar Thieves have toured across the US, Mexico, and Europe, sharing stages with legends like Taj Mahal, B.B. King, Willie Nelson, The Blues Brothers, and Lucinda Williams. Their five albums capture a mix of original and reimagined songs that reflect their deep connection to the roots of American music.

Meredith Moore — Known for her commanding, rich vocals steeped in gospel and blues tradition, Meredith is the soulful core of The Sugar Thieves. Her dynamic stage presence and powerful voice leave a lasting impression on audiences everywhere.

Mikel Lander — A gritty guitarist and vocalist, Mikel brings a raw, bluesy edge to the group’s sound. His interplay with Meredith forms the duo’s magnetic foundation and has become a defining element of the band’s identity.

Todd Chuba — One of Phoenix’s most sought-after drummers, Todd is a master of genre-blending. His rhythmic precision and versatility anchor the band’s signature groove and keep the energy high from start to finish.

Jeff Naylor — On upright and electric bass, Jeff delivers driving rhythms and expressive showmanship. His backing vocals and stage charisma help elevate the group’s full-bodied sound and keep crowds engaged and dancing.

All JFTS Concerts are FREE and open to the public. Doors open at 4:45pm and seating is first come, first served. All donations received during the event will benefit a featured local or international humanitarian causes.
