Jazzbird Nights: Alyssa Allgood Quartet

Named a “Rising Star Female Vocalist” in the 2024 Downbeat Magazine Critics Poll, vocalist and composer Alyssa Allgood stands out as a bold and compelling voice in the modern jazz landscape. Described as “assured and daring” by Downbeat and acknowledged for her “force, clarity and jazz integrity” by the New York City Jazz Record, Allgood weaves soulful storytelling and rich improvisational language through original compositions, captivating arrangements, and a lyrical focus of self-love and human connection.

Allgood won the Inaugural Ella Fitzgerald Competition, and was named “Best Jazz Entertainer” in the Chicago Music Awards. Her compositions have been selected as finalists in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and the International Songwriting Competition. Allgood is thrilled to present an uplifting program of original music and jazz standards for her Ravenscroft debut.
