Known as “The Queen of the Blues,” Francine brings her signature soul, sass, and show-stopping presence to the stage, performing favorites like “Wild Women Don’t Get the Blues,” “Fever,” and “Summertime.” Backed by an all-star trio—pianist Nicole Pesce, Grammy-winning bassist Mel Brown, and internationally acclaimed drummer Dowell Davis—this show promises electrifying blues, jazz, and pure musical magic.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Francine Reed is a powerhouse vocalist whose rich, soulful voice and magnetic stage presence have earned her a place among the greats in jazz and blues. Often hailed as “The Queen of the Blues” and described as “incomparable,” Reed’s career spans decades of electrifying performances on both national and international stages. She rose to national prominence as a longtime member of Lyle Lovett’s Large Band, with appearances on The Tonight Show and collaborations with icons like Willie Nelson and Miles Davis.
A beloved figure in the Phoenix music scene from the 1970s through the early ’90s, Reed dominated local stages and continued to win Best of Phoenix accolades even after relocating to Atlanta. She performed regularly with her bands Jazz Alive and Fever at legendary venues like Chuy’s, The Boojum Tree, and Churchill’s Pub.
In addition to concert halls and clubs, Reed’s theatrical flair shone through in her recurring performances with Seattle’s acclaimed Teatro ZinZanni, a high-energy cabaret-dinner theater experience. With a repertoire that spans blues, jazz, R&B, and American standards, Francine Reed delivers every performance with unmatched heart, humor, and vocal fire—making her a true living legend in the world of vocal jazz and blues.
