WHAT TO EXPECT

Jeff Libman is “a sensitive guitarist with a graceful, melodic turn to his flowing improvisations” (Jazz Journal), and a cornerstone of the Phoenix jazz community since 2004. A Clinical Assistant Professor of Jazz Studies at Arizona State University and Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at The Nash, Libman is deeply dedicated to both performance and jazz education. As a bandleader, he has released three acclaimed albums, including his newest project, Feet Off the Ground (Cellar Music, April 2025), featuring Michael Kocour on piano, Ben Hedquist on bass, and Lewis Nash on drums. With lyrical phrasing, expressive tone, and a passion for musical storytelling, Libman continues to shape and elevate Arizona’s vibrant jazz scene.
