Jazzbird Nights: Matt Wigler Band

Matt Wigler Band plays an entertaining repertoire of modern blues arrangements with the finesse of a world-class jazz piano trio. A journey through classic blues songs from New Orleans, to Texas, to Chicago and beyond, with a twist of contemporary arrangements, Matt Wigler Band is fun and down-to-earth, yet will also satisfy the sophisticated jazz connoisseur.

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Matt began his music career at the age of 13, with the release of his first studio album. In 2009, Matt’s second album, “Epiphony”, was nominated for Best Jazz CD by the Washington DC Area Music Association. As a musical artist Matt has performed at major venues including The Kennedy Center, Strathmore Music Center, Adrienne Arsht Center, Detroit Music Hall, Blues Alley, Birdland Jazz Club, Monterey Blues Festival, and Motor City Blues & Boogie Woogie Festival.

Matt attended conservatory at Manhattan School of Music, and completed his Bachelor of Arts at University of Miami Frost School of Music. Matt has a Master of Business Administration from University of Miami Herbert Business School.

In 2016, Matt founded MHW Live Music, which has become the leading manager of live entertainment for hotels in the United States. In 2023, MHW Live Music was listed in the top 10% of the Inc. 5000 fastest growing private companies in America. Matt lives in Miami with his wife and son and is an avid golfer and tennis player.
