Internationally acclaimed vocalist Tammy McCann brings her powerful voice and heartfelt artistry to Ravenscroft Hall for a special tribute to gospel legend Mahalia Jackson. Part of the Ravenscroft Christian Songwriter Series, this inspiring performance will honor Jackson’s enduring musical and spiritual legacy through songs filled with faith, hope, and soul.

Named the Chicago Tribune’s 2020 Person of the Year in Jazz, McCann draws from jazz, gospel, blues, and the Great American Songbook to create performances rich in warmth and authentic storytelling. Having appeared at Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Birdland, and The Blue Note—and alongside celebrated artists including Ramsey Lewis, Branford Marsalis, and Dee Dee Bridgewater—McCann brings remarkable artistry and emotional depth to every song.
