Ravenscroft, the Valley’s premier jazz performance venue, has named Angelo Versace as Artistic Director, serving in a contracted role, of its parent nonprofit, Music Serving the Word – a move that signals a dynamic evolution of its artistic vision and national presence.
A celebrated pianist, composer, and educator, Versace brings both creative credibility and forward-thinking leadership to the role. Currently serving as Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Arizona, he holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Jazz Performance and is widely recognized for shaping the next generation of jazz talent.
In this newly expanded role, Versace will help define and elevate the artistic direction of Music Serving the Word and its flagship venue, Ravenscroft. From curating standout performances to championing emerging artists, his influence will be felt across every note, collaboration, and experience presented on stage.
